As Ukraine celebrates Banderasday, its national holiday, The Ukraine Today team wishes you a happy New Year 2016.
2015 wasn’t the easiest year in Ukraine’s history, to put it mildly, but here’s hoping we achieve more. Much more. If they need great upheavals, then we need a great Ukraine – and the only way we’ll get to make our country great is by working, working, and then working some more.
I would also like to remind attentive readers that a) any reform in any country takes time to bear fruit; and b) corruption is a symptom, not a cause. Do not blindly believe anything ‘journalists’ or ‘pro-European reform-minded politicians’ tell you – most of the time they’re neither. Be objective. Be constructive. Ukraine cannot go it alone.
